Hi! After a couple of quiet weeks, I am pleased to report that things have picked up and now I have a couple of translation jobs on the go. One of them involves the translation of 12.000 words of a company’s terms and conditions – a pretty boring task to be honest! Luckily the deadline is quite far away so I can do it for a couple of hours a day and dip in and out of it, rather than doing it all at once. The other project is an academic paper, which is only 4400 words long and is quite an interesting read so am enjoying working on that.
I have noticed that eBay sales are picking up – it was quite a lucrative weekend, wonder if it is something to do with the cooler weather? Aside from that matched betting is also quite profitable at the moment, the Tottenham vs Barcelona match last week netted me a cool £65 profit – not bad for a few minutes work!
We had a relative staying this weekend so have been out and about in London most of the time. We got the Thames Clippers River Bus from Westminster to Greenwich yesterday afternoon which was a highlight. It is nice to be able to see so many landmark buildings from the river and I find that visitors to London enjoy walking around Greenwich – there is so much to see and do there! After that we headed to Covent Garden and eventually ended up in Embankment where we enjoyed some Napoleon pizzas at Kalo 50.
That’s all for this week – thanks for reading. More next Monday!
