Most of last week was consumed in a medical report that I finished translating on Friday. It was an interesting project to complete and short enough to be done in a few days, leaving me the weekend free to visit family. Also, I managed to complete the 12.000 words of terms and conditions job that I mentioned in last week’s post.
Earlier in the week I did some accounting. Even though I try to keep on top of my accounts and do them on a monthly basis. Somehow, I didn’t get around to completing the August profit and loss spreadsheet. It only took me a couple of hours to do two months’ worth and am now on top of it again. This way, when the 31st of January comes it will all be ready to submit and I won’t have a last minute panic to complete the tax return.
I also returned to work at the charity shop where I have been volunteering for the last couple of years. It was the first time I have been back since my hip replacement in June so it was nice to see everyone again and see the changes that have been made in the shop. If the truth be told, I could have returned earlier but there has been so much to do lately and it has been nice to have a bit of extra time to do some deep cleaning.
My mother turned 70 this weekend so we had a party in the local community centre on Saturday and we went out for a meal last night. It was a special weekend for her which she thoroughly enjoyed and it was great to see the family and have a proper catch up with them all.
That’s all for this week – thanks for reading. More next Monday!
