This perfume starts off with a very strong, almost overpowering scent of patchouli combined with citrus, however after a few minutes this fades away and it becomes more of a creamy, nutty fragrance with just a slight hint of patchouli. According to Mugler’s website, Angel Muse’s top notes consist of grapefruit and pink berries, the middle notes are hazelnut cream accord and cocoa powder and the base is made up of vetiver and vanilla.
It is a bit lighter than Thierry Mugler’s original ‘Angel’, making it a bit more suitable for everyday wear.
I tried this out as I received a free sample in the form of a 0.3ml sample spray card. I really like these sample spray cards as they seem to provide just the right amount of perfume in order to establish whether or not I like the scent and they seem so much less wasteful than the little vials we are usually given to try out new perfumes.
